Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the new room design different?

Each room has been thoughtfully reimagined with 100% Mexican-sourced and manufactured furnishings, handcrafted details, and original artwork. The design blends modern coastal elegance with traditional artisanal touches—woodwork, textiles, ceramics, and decorative accents—that reflect the cultural richness of Mexico. The result is a space that feels both elevated and deeply rooted in place.

Is this renovation part of a larger transformation at the resort?

Yes, the room renovation represents the culmination of a thoughtful, multi-year transformation across the resort. Signature additions like The Agave Study, which offers an immersive exploration of Mexico’s agave heritage; Neutral Coffee Lab, a contemporary space celebrating Mexican coffee culture; and Travesía, our progressive culinary journey rooted in regional flavors, have all contributed to redefining the guest experience. This renovation brings that evolution into our private spaces—infusing each room with locally sourced design, handcrafted details, and a deep connection to the cultural richness of Mexico.

Are all room types being renovated?

Yes, all guestroom and suite categories are included as part of this transformation. Each space is being redesigned to feature handcrafted furnishings, regionally inspired artworks, and organic materials, while maintaining the spacious layouts and comfort our guests expect.

When will the renovated rooms be available for reservations?

Our newly redesigned rooms will be available starting October 1st, 2025. Reservations for stays from this date onward are now open.

What is the inspiration behind the room renovation at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal?

The renovation is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Mexico, thoughtfully designed to reflect the artistry of Oaxaca, the creative spirit of Jalisco, and the natural beauty of Baja California Sur. Every element—furnishings, textiles, artwork, and decorative accents—has been locally sourced and crafted by Mexican artisans. This approach not only brings authenticity and character to each space, but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability and the support of local economies. The result is a sanctuary where contemporary coastal luxury meets timeless Mexican tradition.

What new features can guests expect in the renovated room product?

The renovated rooms offer a fresh sense of comfort, functionality, and thoughtful design. Guests will enjoy newly created seating areas ideal for relaxing or unwinding, enhanced lighting with customizable ambience settings, and a refreshed in-room refreshment center for added convenience. Outdoor living has also been elevated with redesigned terrace and deck furniture that complements the natural surroundings.

For our larger premium, notable upgrades include expanded living and dining areas in the Presidential Suite, as well as new private pools and jacuzzis in select beachfront and multi-bedroom suites, perfect for a luxurious and private escape.

Can I purchase any of the artisanal pieces from the rooms?

Yes, select pieces will be available for purchase through our Almarte Boutique.

Will the renovations affect my upcoming stay?

The project will result in the closure of the resort from July 15th – September 30th. We look forward to welcoming our guests back to our newly transformed resort starting October 1st.
