A BRIGHT FUTURE
JOIN THE PEDREGAL LEGACY
At Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal we invite guests to foster a deep connection with our stunning natural surroundings. As we look ahead to the new year that awaits, we bring our attention to preserving this Pedregal legacy. With a focus on elevated sustainability efforts, we stand strong in our commitment to a clean environment.
From our ‘Green Committee’, joining for monthly interdepartmental meetings to review environmental and sustainability issues at hand, to our wildlife efforts, energy efficiency, power generation, and more, we are committed to a bright future. Onsite, guests will find a variety of elevated efforts in action to preserve the Pedregal legacy for years to come:
Waste
Separation
Our team is committed to separating organic and inorganic waste, recyclables including cardboard, PET, and aluminum alongside special waste handling throughout our resort.
Energy
Efficiency
We are also committed to continuous training of our staff to preserve energy wherever possible. This includes cross-departmental tours of the property for ongoing areas of opportunity, as well as solar panels to better the environment.
Eco-Friendly
Programs
In an effort to preserve our plant and legacy for our children, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal proudly participates in a number of eco-friendly programs to help preserve the environment. This includes reduced usages of water and energy, with the help of our guests, aligned with our Corporate Responsibility Program TRAVEL WITH PURPOSE—driving positive social and environmental changes across our operations and communities.
Energy
Management
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal has been proudly certified as Energy Management System (ISO 50001:2018) since 2017. In March 2023, this certification was successfully renewed—maintaining our resort as the only one in Latin America with this honor.
Wildlife Efforts
Our resort assumes commitment to the Protection and Conservation of sea turtles, with a Federal permit approved to maintain a turtle nest on the property. With this, team members are trained for the handling and care of eggs and nesting turtles—including 24-hour beach monitoring, collection of eggs and transplantation, nest cleaning, turtle release and ongoing environmental education for both guests and team members. Waldorf Astoria remains the only resort in our destination with authorization for non-extractive use for the Protection and Conservation of Sea Turtles.
