By late December, the whales make their way south completing the 19,312-jm (12,000-mile) migration, staying until April when they repeat their journey northward. Of the eleven species of whales found around the globe, eight venture to the waters off Los Cabos, including minke, bryde, fin, sei, humpback, gray and blue.
