Celebrity Chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Michael Mina is known for his award-winning 45 restaurants/operations around the world, including the Michelin-starred MICHAEL MINA, Chef Mina’s flagship restaurant in the heart of San Francisco, which represents the culmination of his core culinary philosophies, Middle Eastern heritage, lauded chronicles as a chef and restaurateur, and personal character. Chef Mina will bring his love of the American steakhouse experience to Cabo featuring classic Americana infused with his arsenal of world flavors and dramatic flair.

Adam Sobel is a Chef/Partner at MINA Group, primarily responsible for the oversight of concept development and menu creation. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he has earned widespread acclaim working alongside top chefs worldwide. Most recently, Chef Sobel developed the concept and menu for the highly lauded Sorelle, in Charleston, SC. In addition to his culinary achievements, he is a familiar face on popular Food Network shows like Tournament of Champions, Guys Grocery Games, and Chopped, where he has served as both a competitor and judge.

Mitsuharu “Micha” Tsumura is a Peruvian chef of Japanese descent whose most personal and well-known project, Maido Restaurant, is located in his hometown of Lima, Peru. Throughout its 15-year history, Maido has been nationally recognized as the Best Restaurant in Peru for the past five years in a row and is internationally ranked #1 on the prestigious Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants (uninterruptedly from 2017-2019), as well as #6 on The World’s Best 50 Restaurants. Chef Micha is also the author of the book “Nikkei is Peru” and director of the Netflix documentary “Peru, Hidden Treasure.”

Founder of Jaime Pesaque Restaurants. Born and raised in Peru, trained in Europe and apprenticed in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy and Spain, including El Celler de Can Roca. In 2008, Pesaque opened its flagship restaurant, Mayta, a contemporary Peruvian cuisine restaurant and pisco bar in Lima, Peru. In 2019 Mayta enters the list of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants; in 2022 Mayta enters the list of The World’s 50 Best, and in 2023 was once again elected as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the world.

Chef Seth Stowaway has worked under famed chefs Jordan Grosser, Brandon Jew, and Thomas Peña, among others. He opened Osito in December 2021 after fundraising through culinary pop-ups throughout the pandemic. Known for offering guests a 100 percent live-fire dining experience, Osito was awarded its first Michelin star less than one year after opening, which it has since retained. Over this weekend guests at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal can indulge in Chef Stowaway’s elevated, fiery offerings while soaking up the sun on Cabo San Lucas’ most coveted parcel of land.

Chef David began the journey of opening Nisei as a pop-up in the summer of 2020-2021. Nisei finally opened as a brick in Mortar in August of 2021, where Chef David has utilized his eclectic experience to bring the Bay Area a new approach to Japanese American food. In 2022, Chef David was also nominated for a James Beard Award for Emerging Chef, as well as one Michelin star. He was also awarded the Young Chef Award by Michelin the very same year. Now in 2023, Chef David has retained his one Michelin star and sets his sights toward the future of Japanese American cuisine.

The Executive Chef and owner of Mister Jiu’s, a contemporary Chinese American restaurant in the heart of San Francisco Chinatown. Brandon has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Mind of a Chef, Ugly Delicious, Taste the Nation, and Vice Munchies. His honors at Mister Jiu’s include one Michelin star (6+ consecutive years), Bon Appetit #3 Restaurant on Hot 10 2017, SF Magazine Chef of the Year, and James Beard nomination for Best Chef West 2018, 2020, 2021 and winner for the honor in 2022.

Seen on 2022 Netflix’s edition of Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend, winning her challenge & on Iron Chef México where she successfully won her challenge and tied in the finale. Zepeda’s multi-faceted expertise is showcased in her role overseeing the creative vision as Founder of Chispa Hospitality with projects in Nashville, Australia and México.
