Valentine’s Day at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

Los Cabos is an almost impossibly romantic vacation destination, between its laid-back culture, dramatic mountain and desert scenery, and most legendary beach: Playa del Amor. And in February, thanks to couples-friendly events taking place throughout San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, it somehow manages to become even more so. Here’s a breakdown of what’s going on at the resort.

Romance Week at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

If you time your Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal visit to overlap with Valentine’s Day, you can savor the cuisine of talented celebrity chefs as they whip up world-class meals for couples. One of these industry leaders will be culinary icon Michael Mina, who is hosting a “takeover” at Don Manuel’s that includes a five-course Mediterranean meal and wine pairings from Burgundy’s prize-winning Joseph Drouhin Winery. As part of our annual Romance Week celebration, mixologists, cooking instructors, and other culinary-industry stars will also make appearances throughout our luxury property, whether participating in meet-and-greets or leading tequila tastings.

Be Mine With the Minas

Thursday night is when the festivities begin, with the “Be Mine With the Minas” event. Join us for this exclusive gathering as we welcome our special VIP guests. A luxurious spread of canapés will be served, and you can savor wine and tequila tastings with the masters behind Clase Azul. There will even be a fireworks show to kick things off in style.

Date Night Fever

Friday is Valentine’s Day, and you can expect a fantastic evening dinner filled with romance and gourmet delights. VIP guest Chef Michael Mina and our culinary team have dreamt up a smoldering à la carte menu, and an optional wine pairing by Joseph Drouhin Winery is available. Live entertainment will be on hand to set the mood. Please note that reservations are highly recommended.

The Marvelous Mina Takeover

The culinary adventure continues on Saturday, with a meet-and-greet-style cocktail reception with Chef Michael Mina at Don Manuel’s. Afterward, enjoy a spectacular five-course tasting menu that fuses the chef’s Mediterranean upbringing with the native flavors of Mexico. Dishes will be paired with wine from the fourth-generation Joseph Drouhin Winery, in Burgundy.
